Yes. Seems to me the evaporation is a much bigger problem than the pumping. There are bayous near me that are dry that usually have water until September or so.

From my understanding the pumping pulls about 2" of water off the complex and evaporation is around 2'.

I understand about evaporation. But the pumping doubles it. This place, as you know can be and is a great place to fish. These people pumping can MORE than afford to drill water wells for their water supply.
