The area that I grew up hunting didn't have many deer. You could go several hunts without seeing a single deer.
The first time I went hunting with my GF (now wife) in college on some family land, we had 40+ deer out in a big arse food plot at once. I remember thinking "damn, I didn't know this was possible".
Ended up killing a lot of deer at that place.
