We will have the option of living in Seattle or Portland area. They may even let us live in Bend but not sure yet. Which one and why?

Bend, it's that easy.

Eta...I guess I'll tell you why.

Seattle and Portland are cool but I'm about done with cities with a lot of people and traffic.

Bend has over 90k people but no traffic. I guess the traffic circles all over town help.

Over 300 days of sunshine a year.

Only about 12" of rain although they do get snow but it's a dry snow. Not the wet stuff on the west side of the Cascades.

Central Oregon is literally an outdoor lovers dream and is very close to many many activities year round. You don't see many heavy set folks for a reason.

Good food and breweries are everywhere.

You're married but for me there's blonde eye candy everywhere. No matter what city you move to you'll deal with libs. Might as well be in Bend where there are less crazy left ones.

If you need to enjoy the big city Portland is 3 hours away.

There's an airport in Redmond (21 miles away) so flights don't have to be out of Portland. I have no idea on prices but I know they are cheap going to Nevada.

Thanks. We love the outdoors. Even the kids ski (8 & 5 yrs old) and I fly fish. Wifey loves hiking. Bend would be ideal for lifestyle, but I think Portland or Seattle may make more sense for the job.
