Or it could just appear enormous because it’s elevated on the median and it’s closer to the camera than the cars in the background. ?

Median isn’t elevated. Maybe it’s the angle, but if it is, whoever is shooting that is 4 feet tall.

And the camera is pretty low. Shooting from a low angle always exaggerates the height of things in the foreground. The SUV seems lower than the camera. -or the same level - thus making it seem the moose gigantic.
How the he'll do you think the movies make Tom Cruise seem over 6 feet tall? Camera angles and low spots on the floor for taller actors to stand in.
