Last week, in a thread about the chemical plants being planned in St James Parish, someone said that the state is looking at 4 laning hwy 3127 from I310 to Donaldsonville and extending it all the way to I 10 in Grosse Tete. I think this is something that should be done ASAP, as it would provide a bypass around BR for traffic heading toward Lafayette.

That’s another thing that’s been proposed for about 30 years. If you drive 3127 you’ll see the ROW is already done, the trees are cleared, and the foundation is built up to put the road on it. It’s been that way for decades.
