the main benefit I see is it would help eliminate some I-10 traffic. It would take 30 years to acquire the land and do the construction. I imagine there would be toll roads associated with it. I for one would be for it.

Last week, in a thread about the chemical plants being planned in St James Parish, someone said that the state is looking at 4 laning hwy 3127 from I310 to Donaldsonville and extending it all the way to I 10 in Grosse Tete. I think this is something that should be done ASAP, as it would provide a bypass around BR for traffic heading toward Lafayette.
