I don't know about that, but it could definitely bring jobs in distribution, warehousing, and freight in areas where I-14 passes near existing north-south highways.

Alexandria and especially Brookhaven would be the ideal place for distribution centers, since they could easily reach markets in Memphis, New Orleans, Shreveport, Jackson, and Baton Rouge.

It would have bigger impact for the areas within a few hour's drive from Atlanta, Mobile, and Birmingham.

I could also see the areas along the route marketed for durable goods manufacturing if they have rail access (particularly for automobile and automobile component production) given their proximity to new plants in the southern US.

I guess all of this is irrelevant for us since it will take at least 30 years to finish the I-14.
