Very high failure rate - surprisingly high. Turnover in your typical office is off the charts.
The average realtor is pulling down 1-1.5% actual commission, and usually has to purchase their own signs, business cards, pay for advertising, usually need a nice vehicle with a high payment.
A friend of mine is a broker. She's done very well herself - she gets 1-1.5% of every transaction her team sells, of course. She shared with us that 90 percent of the commissions are taken by 25% of the realtors in the Jackson, MS area.
