Yeah doesn't matter if they have trouble proving the domestic and kidnapping charges, the abuser is still going to prison because he's a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and he's looking at 10 years minimum IIRC just for that alone.

My neighbor's son is a convicted felon in possession of firearm and he was out of jail in 7 months. The system is fricked up.
