Forgot to mention, I saw a coral snake out running trails today. 6.5 miles at about an hour. That may be my record for a 10k on trails.
Mate in front of me stopped and I almost plowed into him and knocked him towards it.
Beautiful little thing but keep your eyes peeled out there!

I stepped on a cottonmouth while running trails barefoot one time.
I probably jumped higher than I ever have in my entire life.
And my scream was probably heard miles away.

I run some trails around here. Occasionally a snake, probably way more than I actually notice.
Do see deer, owls, Hawks, etc. on the regular.
