I just saw this thread. I'll throw in my 2 cents.
I'm in the middle of my goal for 2018 to run 1000 miles. It's been going OK, although I'm getting worn down with it this time of year, due to the heat and humidity. Currently, I'm at a little over 600 miles to date, so I am still on pace.
My ultimate goal is to be ready for the Mercedes Half Marathon in Birmingham in February. With all this extra running I have been doing, I may find myself enter the full marathon instead.
I've only run one full, and it wasn't a pleasant experience, since I became electrolytes low badly at the end of the race. I was hurting for days.
However, I want to ramp up some distances, therefore I may be better prepared this year.
I also would like to enter the Tuscaloosa half marathon, which is normally in March, but there are rumors of it not occurring next year. Therefore, I'd need to find another race.

7.7 miles this morning. Lots of walking. Finished at a 10:23 pace and failed to reach my 8 mile goal.
Marathon training with a newborn ain’t for the faint of heart. Hopefully once she gets on a better schedule I won’t feel like fatigued dog shite on every run.

Almost at 700. Wanted it done last month but work and heat the last 2 months kept me from getting some of the longer runs.
October and it’s going to be on. I think I’m training for a trail half marathon in February.
