Gender and sex are different, though. The problem is that the word "gender" was never intended to be used as a descriptor of human sex organs. It was mostly a word used in linguistic contexts.
For instance, the Spanish word "El Toro" (the bull) is masculine. That is to say, "el" is a GENDER masculine article. Likewise, "la casa" (the house) is feminine. El = masculine. La = feminine.
In English we don't have gender specific articles. We use "the" for everything. But many languages do the same thing as Spanish. For instance in German it's "der" for masculine and "die" for feminine.
That's the context "gender" was usually used prior to the SJW revolution. Like many other words, they have subverted it for their own purposes. That's why I refuse to use the word. If someone asks me my "gender" I am going to correct the dumb fricker and say "you mean my sex?"

German also has "das" for neuter.
