Will you two make out already?? Seriously....that was hot. Since neither of you has any clue that everything you're talking about is entirely objective and based on opinion more than actual fact....like honestly tryu g to use recruiting ranks and draft attrition to somehow rank a team based on composite talent? Taking out the entire coaching, player continuity, random circumstance that is negative and not forseen...like there are so many things that makeup the strength of a roster and your ways of just write most of it off and each having this really baseless and moronic argument with one another and proving just how goddamn stupid you each happen to be in yhe process and both thinking youre something other than freaking retards was truly amazing to see. I mean bravo guys. You both have labeled yourself as among the dumbest posters on this entire site. Hope it was all worth it because the entire board is collectively laughing at the two of you. Seriously you have got to kidding here...how neither of you saw just how freaking stupid you actually were the whole time....well so you know....if no one has told you yet.....you're both at a three year olds level of competency when it comes to actual understanding of football rosters and what is the makeup of their percieved and documented strength overall. Goddamn morons the both if you.

Failure of a coach. Bingo

He was objectively a failure as a coach at Ole Miss. this really isn’t even debatable. I’m not ready to call him a failure at LSU yet, but he certainly hasn’t done much to prove his stint at LSU will turn out different than his time at Ole Miss.

Just like people keep telling you on the recruiting board.....

The enter key (twice) creates paragraphs which allow you to formulate your thoughts in a coherent way.

Well, I guess that about shuts it down. That covers every excuse possible.

Nah NFL talent tells the story more than high school rankings. All I know not many schools have players ready to play year 1 like LSU does. I think only Ohio st is competing with us there.

Damn, all of that just to let everyone know you don’t know the definition of talent.

When was BH EVER a top 10 projected draft pick, that QUIT on his team.

Never said he quit in his team and neither did you about Key. What you said was, he didn’t live up to his expectations. Brandon Harris was one of the top rated QBs in his class. He didn’t live up to expectations.

Nice try though.

And still no one has answered me as to why I was told on tRant that Moo State was far more talented than LSU last year yet all this data says otherwise. I just don’t understand the conflicting stories. Please explain.

I think the point being made is that the talent was there last year and it is there this year. Last year the coaching staff underacheived and folk are hoping that the new hires will be the difference. Personally, I'm not comfortable with people blaming the players when objective people are telling us it was a top 10 team.

This is the bottom line and a great post.

That guy is saying we have bashed “the team and coaches”, yet our whole position is that the players are good enough, and were good enough last year, to win 10 games and get a NY6 Bowl.

We went 9-3 with a blowout loss to an 8-5 Mississippi State team and a Sun Belt team. There is no question in my mind that the players on that team were good enough to win those games had they been properly prepared and utilized.

These other guys are the ones talking down the team acting like missing a few guys made us some helpless ragtag bunch that couldn’t overcome these mediocre teams.

I’ve never said anything negative about the players and put those performances squarely on the coaches, and honestly believe this team is talented enough to get 10 wins as well. Failing to do so, yet again, would be yet another failure by this staff the same way it was under the previous coach in his final years before being relieved of his duties.

Totally agree with all premises, 1-6. LSU can lose to Auburn because it's on the road and Auburn is a good team. Bama and Georgia are top notch programs. Any other loss is unacceptable IMHO.

Yeah good point, back to the OP and his data. Very good stuff.

My only qualm would be with this:

quote:

1. LSU should lose to Alabama and Georgia
2. Auburn is a toss up.

I would say Alabama is the only team we “should” lose to based on that data.

I would include Georgia in the toss up category with Auburn.

Georgia is 3.25 points higher than us, and we are 2.25 spots higher than Auburn.

Given that Auburn is on the road, and Georgia is at home, I would say those are just about even, and certainly close enough to be qualified as toss up games.

Completely agree with all other points though

quote:

3. LSU should beat the rest of the teams on its schedule.
4. We should expect a 10-2 season.
5. Anything less than 9-3 is a failure.
6. Our schedule isn't as difficult as some people think.

Why couldn't Fromm wait until closer to the LSU game to break his hand? Would be nice to get to face them without their QB.

So no one has left any other school?

Also the 2013 class would have been like 6th year seniors.

We have home field advantage with the two higher talented teams. Looks like 12-0 to me.

Nah, if we beat them I want them to be at full strength. I'd hate for their fans to make excuses.

Yep. That's the other angle to take and I can't argue that point. Obviously, the win over Fromm would help LSU in any CFP discussions if it comes to that.
