Yeah it was clearly audible. 2 distinctly different weapons. I know what a gun sounds like. I wouldn't have heard it inside but I happened to be outside drinking a beer and puffing on a cigar that night

Same here in Highland Creek ~2002. I heard pop pop pop, and BOOM. I ran inside telling the wife It sounded like someone came to the shootout with a pistol and got blasted by a shotgun.
That's EXACTLY what the paper read the next day. Except they had terrible aim and missed all 4 shots. And both went to jail.
