Yep. But when locals fight against these kind of developments they get called NIMBY's, racists, and rabble rousers. The projects almost always get railroaded through anyway. It's why most people don't even bother to fight anymore. They just leave. The cycle continues.
Our neighborhood association somehow blocked a development on the vacant land in S Harrells Ferry near Forest Park.

Prairieville is getting it now. Huge federally subsidized apartment complex on Airline coming up, injected into Dutchtown school district. More developments coming on HWY 42 that get cleared even when the local ordinances deem them illegal. You just can't fight it. I wonder where the next new 'nice area' will be?
I heard about that. A nice Section 8 complex right in the middle of one of our few good school districts. They are building one right across from L'auberge too I believe.

Everybody I know who lives by L'Auberge says their neighborhoods get hit every night by the friendly locals. I'd imagine this will just worsen the problem and all those new developments will go to shite even quicker.

Oh shite. Poor indigo park is getting tax credit next door? That sucks. They already have to deal with the smell and Gardere in general.

Perhaps outside of the state?
Seems like every city in LA is experiencing increased risk for crime
