Seems like in a matter of 15 years, O'Neal Lane has gone completely to shite, there are pockets of trash all over Jones Creek and Coursey, and now even Antioch and Old Jefferson are struggling to keep the trash out. It's fricking sad how quickly an entire chunk of the city can go to shite because of section 8 and social engineering.

It seems like places where they build apartments eventually turns to shite when they start aging. That ghetto on S Harrells Ferry and O'Neal is pretty rough. Add Southpark and Sherwood Acres off of Coursey, the blue roof apartments at the end of Millerville etc.

Yep. But when locals fight against these kind of developments they get called NIMBY's, racists, and rabble rousers. The projects almost always get railroaded through anyway. It's why most people don't even bother to fight anymore. They just leave. The cycle continues.

Yep. It happened really fast and it's terrible.

There are countless examples of this kind of crap happening when big apartment complexes get built in nice areas. It never fails, but yet again, we're told the sky is green when we know it's blue.

Prairieville is getting it now. Huge federally subsidized apartment complex on Airline coming up, injected into Dutchtown school district. More developments coming on HWY 42 that get cleared even when the local ordinances deem them illegal. You just can't fight it. I wonder where the next new 'nice area' will be?
