I've never seen problems that I could absolutely pin on Goodman equipment, but it does seem to be a little more cheaply made than some of the prestige brands. Also, as others have said, Goodman ain't real picky about who gets to use their equipment and name, so you've got to be careful about the installation because a bad installation with less robust equipment can go pear shaped real quick.

Rock-solid construction can make up for many sins of a bad installer and a good installer can make up for many sins of cheaper construction. It kinda works both ways.
