Love how half of these comments start with "it's not her fault but..." and go on to question her motives. Maybe your victim shaming is the reason some people never come forward.

You're probably correct, but it is a message board where most everyone is incognito.

It isn’t the girl’s fault for getting raped. It is her fault for making piss poor life decisions, but even much more so, the parents for not raising their little girl to know better than to put herself in dangerous positions in the first place. The world has rotten shits in it. You can’t change that, but you can teach your little girl to think with their heads, and not be so oblivious to the world around them and trust people so easily. That is at the feet of the parents, and they are what’s missing in every bit of this.
You know, perhaps if we would all be less concerned with who’s a victim and who’s not, as if anyone actually needs to be told that, and use this as an example for other little girls to use their heads and not put themselves in horrific circumstances in the first place, maybe people will start to wise up, and besides all that, the parents themselves need to really be held accountable here, and they’re just not.
Where are these people?
Same for the parents of the 17 year old boy. Where were they when all this was going on?

I’m not here to “victim shame” but here’s a fun lesson everyone can apply to their own lives: don’t make retarded decisions, and you’ll save yourself a lot of problems. It is incomprehensibly stupid to let a dude pick you up - who you met on Snapchat two days prior - and continue once you see he’s got two other strangers with him.
That doesn’t remove any blame from the evil fricks who committed rape.
The two are not mutually exclusive. We can point out evil and pure stupidity in the same sentence.
