Here’s what probably happened. He was pissed at her for cheating on him and has been keeping her from getting work. Finally she had enough and used the #metoo movement to get back at him by making up a bunch of stuff to destroy his career.

I don’t know Chris Hardwick. I’ve listened to his podcast(s) and spent a lot of time on Nerdist over the course of the past few years. The entire concept of Nerdist was built on giving people the ability to find ways to create their stuff. Nerdist sponsors a shite ton of people trying to get started (podcasting, digital media, etc). So if you told me Chris was actively keeping her from getting work, I’d be very surprised.

Now he’s got a ton of connections. So if people asked him about her and he said she’s batshit crazy, that wouldn’t surprise me either. But at the end of the day even in this instance, Chris still isn’t keeping her from getting work. She is by her behavior.

I don’t for a moment believe he is leveraging himself or his company to people saying “if you hire this chick Nerdist will never do business with you” or something like that.

The truth is probably this chick lost her five mins when she cheated on her famous boyfriend and decided to try to get it back by making a bogus claim. And this stupid society we live in has already judged and executed him despite the fact that they have no proof and even if you take what she said at literal face value still isn’t a #metoo claim.

He expected you to be home when he was? As a recovering alcoholic he expected you not to drink around him? He expected you not to hang out with other guys? (Which apparently his concerns were valid given the fact that you cheated on him)Sounds like a relationship to me.

Yeah but this isn't about giving some random person who's creative a chance. This is about an ex who cheated on him. Is he one to hold a grudge? I don't know.

It could be that she assumes he is doing this because she's having trouble finding work, and he had no hand in it at all. He did not address her claim of keeping her from getting work in his statement, keep that in mind. I think that and the accusation of "sexual assault" were the two biggest things to come out of her statement, and he declined to address one of them.

Again, if you tell an employer that your ex-employee was "batshit crazy", you'd better have documentation of the batshit.
