I'm all for rapists getting served justice but if what he says is true she should be publicly shamed. He's already being destroyed on Twitter

I've actually listened to his Nerdist podcast form the very beginning, so I can kind of track much of this story from having heard him talk about some of it in real time.

I specifically remember him talking about the ectoptic pregnancy in detail with Matt and Jonah and about how devastated he was about it. About how they were not intending to have children yet, but once they found out it was not going to survive there was a sens of loss anyway. FWIW, it all seemed pretty genuine.

I also remember the guys giving him shite about her, both for being a lot younger than him and also for just being kind of hard to deal with.

I also remember a story he told on the podcast about them going to Vegas together and her taking him to some strip club and essentially offering a three way...which he turned down. If you've ever heard him talk, you know the guy is not exactly some Lothario and he described her as much wilder than him.

As for the other stuff, some of it just sounds like the shitty kind of things comics tend to say to each other and why comics have a hard time with regular people. Asking how soon they be able to have sex after the ectopic pregnancy SOUNDS like a horrible thing to say, unless you know you're dealing with a comic who tends to make jokes in awkward situations. Same thing with the "I think I love you too, ****," line. If that's not a joke, what is he trying to say...that she's a homosexual man?

Finally, as much as I support the whole MeToo movement in theory, this kind of thing has gone way too far. It ought to be about making it safe for women to be able to come out and make accusations against men who may have abused them in some way and making it so that they can do so safely and get a fair hearing. but what it ought not be is a total blank check for women to accuse men who are then tarred and feathered without providing any evidence at all. What should have happened here was that she got her say, the public should have said, "Huh...that's a pretty harsh accusation. Let's see what he has to say in response." Instead it was immediately try and ruin the guy and any attempt to suggest that MAYBE people wait and see how it all plays out was out of line.

And worse yet, it is now a completely impossible situation to be in as an accused person. If you refuse to answer the charges, you're guilty. If you answer the charges and say they are untrue, you're a liar and victim shaming. The only viable option is self immolation regardless of guilt or innocence. That's insane.

This...and I dont know about the being removed from Nerdist site stuff, but I do know he hasnt had anything to do with Nerdist for months, long before this came out. He sold it all and removed himself from it to do other things, he even renamed his Nerdist podcast to ID10T
