t's an epidemic in today's society. Immature and petty children that never grew up are a serious and dangerous major component today. Employee: Hey! That's guy makes more than me! Pay me that! Or I'll sue! Employer: You have different jobs and different responsibilities. Why do you deserve the same pay? We set a clearly defined a wage when you took this job and you accepted it. Employee: I want more! Give me more! The government should force you to give me more! Employer: Why? We offered you a job at a set price and you took it. Why should we be forced to pay you more? Employee: Asking why is misogynist, racist, sexist w/e. Just give me more and give it to me now without a reason other than I demand it. Employer: That's not an intellegent argument. Employee: Talk to my lawyer. I'm suing you for 100,000. It'll cost you 150,000 to litigate. Employer: frick it. Here's 60,000 that you don't deserve to go away. Also, 25,000 of that goes to your lawyer. And we had to pay our lawyer 25,000 to give it to you. Because we don't have a loser pays system. American Tort System: This is totally fine. America Lawyers: We aren't paid enough. We need more law suits. And more law students.

We had a lady at our company try this shite. She happened to be making less than a male and tried to sue for wage discrimination. Didnt get far because there were plenty of other males making less than her.

It is a losing argument any way you slice it. Most companies also have some sort of policy in their employee manual that forbids employees discussing/disclosing their wages with other employees. So, if she brings up what someone else is making, she immediately opens herself up to termination on those grounds.
