Or 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014??

The talk about this schedule is absurd.

We play three really good teams, two of which are at home, and a neutral site game against an overhyped team that has pretty much the same issues that we do.

MSU should be decent but going through a coaching change, has a good QB coming off a major injury, went 4-4 in the SEC last year, and is playing in Tiger Stadium. If our team isn’t ready to make up for the historic embarrassment they suffered through last year at their hands then there are issues within this program that are irreversible under the current regime.

The rest of the SEC is in absolute rebuild mode with new coaching staffs coming into rosters that are far worse off than the one O walked into eighteen months ago.

The conference schedule will not get any easier going forward, as all of the rebuilding programs are sparing no expense to reverse their fortunes quickly.

With basically a senior QB groomed under a QB guru and a loaded defense now is the time to make the leap to 10-2 and a NY6 Bowl game, positioning us for a playoff run in 2019.

The cards will never be stacked more in our favor than they are ready right now.

People keep saying this.

The schedule is brutal no doubt. Full of good tough opponents. But only 2 are elite. Bama and Georgia.

I don’t buy the Auburn hype especially as long as Gus is their coach. They are good sure but I don’t see them as anything better than that. Hell they had a “great” team last year and how many games did they lose? And blew a 20 point lead to one of the worst LSU teams this century.
