If you want the best Asian food, don't go to Chinatown. Instead, go to the Richmond district. It's a really cool little neighborhood near the park with tons of great, authentic places. Burma Superstar is fantastic. The Arguello Market has fantastic sandwhichs for lunch.

I've always wanted to check out a couple restaurants in Richmond District, but it's pretty far from where I want to be / usually am.

The tea leaf salad is amazing at Burma Superstar.
