I didn't see him claiming to be all-knowing or special. Perhaps he just knows a bit about the MLB draft and what organizations are looking for when they draft players.

You have rapidly climbed the ranks and made yourself one of the biggest idiots on this board. Congrats for that.

As others have said I could see Duplantis, Hess, and Watson signing and I could see one or two of them coming back.

It all depends what team drafts them and how much they value them to go over slot. With Hess and Watson both being sophomores you at least hope if they do sign it’s way over slot.

I've seen enough of what he said, combined with enough of what you said, to clearly know that you are the idiot here.

I was not referring to his comment on the draft

Not completely out of the question since he is a sophomore and wouldn’t be giving up any leverage but he is going to go in the first 2-3 rounds so it’s not like he needs to improve his stock.

If you had been here longer than a count hair you would know that people come with these same ignorant comments year after year. Year after year we fend off comments from people who believe the MLB draft is the same as the NFL.

They never learn

I think he does get it. He's not saying he will get drafted as a reliever, ...he's saying he will show better stuff coming out as a reliever or have better success. (which is debatable also) ..But

He will not get drafted as a reliever, or a closer, or a starter. He will get drafted as a pitcher. So, no some people are still not getting it.

This is not the NFL. And he will not be drafted by the Braves with the intentions of becoming their closer right away. He will work his way up the system as a pitcher and be put where they best see fit if/when its time for him to make his way into the majors.

Cotton, its not your responsibility to educate the ignorant.

And its not their responsibility to give a schit what you have to say.

...with that said, I'm not sure what the hell we are talking about anymore.

Hope Hess stays, probably will get drafted mid rounds and he leaves.

I know that.

He didnt say that though. Unless I misread it. He says "coming out" of the bullpen... not coming out of the draft as a reliever. Meaning if he pitched at LSU as a reliever he might throw different pitches which might elevate his chance of getting drafted a "pitcher" in the MLB. Not to be evaluated as a reliever but just to show different stuff.

Nevermind gotdammit!

Can you please let me know what pitches Hess is or isn't throwing because he is a starter right now as opposed to a reliever?

This talk about Hess needing to move back to the bullpen is ridiculous. Right now, in SEC play, Hess is 10th in the SEC in ERA (3.31), 5th in Opp BA (.209), and 8th in Ks (51). he's been 4-2 in league play. Hess is still able to throw in the mid 90s late in games, so stamina hasn't been an issue. If Hess decides to return next year, there is a 0% chance he moves back to closing, and it would honestly be idiotic to move a guy with those type of numbers to the bullpen when quality weekend starters aren't exactly growing on trees.

Gotdammit man. I didnt say this. Another poster did.
I defended him, because you two attacked him as if he didnt know how the draft works. When in fact yall just didnt read it correctly.

His statement of throwing different pitches as a reliever vs a starter,....Well if you would have read my post, I said that this was debatable.

You arrogant S.O.B. Pay attention. Geezus.

Rantards are still hanging on to the one start against ND. A lot of them went so hard on CPM being a idiot and Hess not being capable of being a starter that there is no going back.

Bringing rational numbers into it will not help. They went all in and backed themselves into a corner after just one start.

Would Hess be amazing as a closer for LSU? Hell yeah. But in order for that to happen you need 3 starters better than Hess. Thats not likely to happen.
