But who needs the NRA?

NRA has fantastic firearm education programs and firearm safety instructors.

Why do people need the AARP? NCAAP? Democrat party?

Because you continue to post this gibberish that no one gives a shite about and you keep trying to get approval from the board. You try so hard to be relevant that it’s fricking sad.

Okay, I am guilty for making a short story long.. I could have made my point in less words, but here is my point.. Please try to focus on that.

I am not saying this as someone who wants to take everyone's guns away, but I do not really understand the need for the NRA.

Are those who own guns, but isn't a member of the NRA missing out on something? How does becoming a card carrying member of the NRA change my status as a gun owner? When you pay your fees, what are you getting?

It's a non-profit in which a few people make a lot of money off of and they are able to influence lawmakers on laws that are really not in your best interest, but in the profit interest of several companies.

Our country was designed with many checks and balances in place so that no one person or group could gain too much power, but lobbyist take that away.. Because they are able to influence lawmakers to vote in their interest. That gives them a lot more power.

It could only be a matter of time before an anti-NRA group gets established and with enough money they can influence government to put more restrictions on guns, etc.

That's so funny

Because everyone on the board is likely more physically superior than I am.

But seriously, I doubt the two of you together are mentally superior to me. I will give yall the upper hand when it comes to grammar. When I am typing a message, I don't really write out the queen's english. So yall got me there, but that's about where it ends.

if you don't understand why it's important to have a powerful entity in DC backing the rights of gun owners... well that wouldn't really surprise me

Do you understand the need for groups that support Americans with disabilities? I’m no fan of guns but I despise the virtue signaling that has taken over this country.

Your failure to understand that underscores your failure to understand human nature, government in general, and the very foundation this country is founded upon.

What you don't understand is that lobbyist goes against what this country was founded on. And if the NRA can exist, so can an anti-NRA group.. Who can raise a lot of money and go to Washington DC and lobby lawmakers to vote for laws that would restrict gun ownership, etc.

I'd rather know that the US senators and representatives who represent us will support the values of the people they represent. That's how it is suppose to work, but because of lobbyist, it doesn't.

Everything is great when something you support has the power, but as soon as something comes along and takes the power away from that entity then you will be complaining about they system.

There are a lot of people in this country who think there needs a powerful entity in DC to back putting restrictions on guns. You better hope they do not become a powerful entity.

It wasn't a troll. I own guns. I hunt. I fish. I don't support the NRA. What's the problem here?

Yeti headquarters - Austin, Texas.

Yeti is a racket of a company run by a couple of entitled liberals in The People's Republic of Texas. They want to be the moral authority with something like this while at the same time hawking $3 cups for $40

People can say what they want about YETI, but for the NRA's chief lobbyist to throw them under the bus because they don't want to sponsor them anymore is chickenshit.

A simple thank you for their years of support and money would've been more professional and appropriate.

Instead, the NRA decided to do just what their attackers do; take it to social media and wad panties.
