I like how hannity said he gave Cohen money -like 10 dollars - and asked for legal advice but doesn't consider himself a client.

Maybe a $20 would have made Cohen explain that when you pay a lawyer you are a client.

So paying an attorney for advice one time makes you a forever client?

It doesn’t quite work like that. The trope of money changing hands giving rise to the attorney client relationship doesn’t necessarily create it.

Such relationship really only needs a mutual understanding between a potential client confiding in the attorney and the attorney being willing to listen for the purpose of offering legal advice.
