I will be taking great care of my new OLED 65B7A that I purchased this morning at Nebraska Furniture in north Dallas for $1196.99. I'm going to give it a full torture test this evening and if it doesn't have vertical banding, then the Vizio I purchased last week goes bye bye back to Best Buy.

Are you on avs forum? They all have vertical banding, it’s just which ones aren’t as bad. Careful what you look for as in this case ignorance is bliss. I haven’t run any gray slides because I really don’t want to know. I haven’t noticed anything in normal content and have looked in scenes where I should notice it, but I’m staying away from gray slides. IMO I won the panel lottery.

The point of the torture test. Determine what I can live with.

Awesome! Good for you. Hoping I can, too. I haven't even unpacked it yet.

Don't run the torture test. Trust me, I did that and ended up going through three different panels. A B7 a C7 and now I have an E7 (only because frys was out of C7's when I went to swap my C7 out.).

I have about 150 hours on the E7 and I haven't noticed any banding on normal content. I'm sure as hell not going to go and look for it.

I remember reading somewhere on AVS a perfect quote regarding oled panneling issues....”you can’t unsee a gray screen.”
