Prior to making her comment, the older lady was probably thinking about health insurance and stressing over how difficult it would be to retire comfortably. At her net worth and income level, she would be hammered on health insurance premiums forcing her to either work longer than she wants or to pick up a side job during her retirement years. Then she looks up and sees this grossly overweight teenager with piercings about to buy 6 cupcakes and knows that her insurance premiums are subsidizing the fat girl's unhealthy lifestyle.

Except if she's on Medicare, then we are all paying for her to be old.
