Where is the OB fresh water fishin around BR right now? I'm mostly familiar with TB, but would like to start learning some holes closer to home to take the kids perch jerkin and catch a few bass.

I just caught one at the whiskey bay boat launch. It was about 8 inches long.

Been hearing some decent reports out of False River. Maybe the drawdown worked.

Bayou Barbary off the Livingston exit. Plenty of goggle eye to keep them interested.

Catfish are always being caught around verret. Get in the cypress trees on the lake with some nightcrawlers

Thanks, this is the time of year we usually do good there, didn’t know if the high water was messing them up

Bayou Barbary - have always heard of it but never fished it. My FIL has a 19ft aluminum I'd like to bring the wife and daughters. It's close to the house - just crickets and beetle spins?

Mainly use jigs. You can use crickets or worms, but no need really.
