Let us not forget that Sterling's actions precipitated the actions that a "bad cop" took.

Alton certainly didn't have to put a gun to the head of a homeless man prior to his encounter with Baton Rouge's finest. If he wouldn't have done that, chances are that incident on that night never would have taken place.

Sterling is 100% responsible for the cops showing up. He's not responsible for the cops abhorrent behavior.
