Just one news item regarding what I’m tryinh to discuss here. It explains what happened some what. Notice the guy that leaked this data was a government/military guy.
Facebook is not a public forum. If I chose to only be friends with my family on Facebook and I limited my privacy to just them, there is no reason for any government actors to have access to my account or posts.

I think this is the issue. You don't understand the difference between government actors and campaign workers.
