re: Longest you were grounded as a youth and why?

Never been grounded....beat with anything in reach...whatever he had in his hand....best was flyswatter as the plastic came off and wire wrapped around the back of his hand after first flush hit! Worse was decorative 15’ bull whip that was promptly removed, wrapped multiple times for about a 5’ reach....that was a memorable arse whipping....belts were common place....it help me in sports though to be mobile and balanced on my feet!!! Running in a circle getting your arse tore up teaches you good Juke moves! Most mentally torturing was the scheduled arse whipping in which you were issued an old timer knife to go cut a switch! Too big and you hurt yourself, too small and he goes get a gum tree! These were typically issued by grandpaw! But I didn’t talk back, had manners and didn’t shoot no schools up! ETA: never whipped any of my kids either
