6 months bis cause I pulled my Boy Scout knife on the bully kicking my friend in the stomach. I have no regrets.
Parents also made me go to all our neighbors and offer to take their leaves for free. They all said yes. I was 10

Never really got grounded for an extensive period of time so I can’t really remember. My parents would mainly scorn the frick out of me and I’d end up feeling bad about it. Worked pretty well imo

My parents just dealt with the situation. I knew that my dad would turn me over to the cops or send me off to the seminary if I did anything dangerous. Getting caught going to a bar in the next parish at 16 just meant that he was on my arse about every detail of my life for the next few weeks. And his constant reminders that I could not be trusted.

Don't remember because it never lasted that long because both parents worked, and my pops would ultimately forget about the grounding. He usually meted out punishment in a more physical manner to get his point across.

Parents let me drive to work at 15 (driving Age was 16) because we lived out in the boonies, best buddy and I smoked out my truck before work and I foolishly left out my pipe. Dad found it the next day when I was sleeping and was grounded from phone for a month. Still was able to drive but only to work and back.

Never was grounded but got my arse beat for running into the back of my dads brand new suv with an electric scooter.

Never been grounded....beat with anything in reach...whatever he had in his hand....best was flyswatter as the plastic came off and wire wrapped around the back of his hand after first flush hit! Worse was decorative 15’ bull whip that was promptly removed, wrapped multiple times for about a 5’ reach....that was a memorable arse whipping....belts were common place....it help me in sports though to be mobile and balanced on my feet!!! Running in a circle getting your arse tore up teaches you good Juke moves! Most mentally torturing was the scheduled arse whipping in which you were issued an old timer knife to go cut a switch! Too big and you hurt yourself, too small and he goes get a gum tree! These were typically issued by grandpaw! But I didn’t talk back, had manners and didn’t shoot no schools up! ETA: never whipped any of my kids either
