Planning to fish Saline Lake tomorrow afternoon. Anyone have any advice?

I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to fish from a kayak or my boat, so any advice on where to put in at or where to begin searching for fish is welcomed.

I know where all of the boat launches are, but I have no clue what side of the complex I should even start at.

Also, I will be in search of mostly bass, but will probably try my hand at a few crappie as well.

The water is rising. They're expected to flood soon. I think the Red river may already be spilling in. I'm going tomorrow to help my FIL pick up.

The water is high , rising and muddy. The fish will move with the water behind the bushes , ect. Go to Cane River , put in at Prudommes and start fishing the left hand bank headed south.

Yea I just talked to my dad and he said the same thing about the water rising quickly.

A family friend of ours is out there right now and he told me that he push poled up to a flooded gravel road and is catching fish where the water is running over the road.

It's a shame too. Right at the spawn.

Get a real heavy weight for your pole, and you might want to launch from the levee. WLF should close the roads tomorrow based on the river gauge.
