While I agree with you, this isn’t exclusive to James. Athletes, actors, and singers have more influence because they are generally more revered.

Jennifer Lawrence didn’t go to college either, but more people will listen to her versus Sean Hannity.

And this is a good thing? A celebrity obsessed culture is a tenet of Idiocracy. The same people on here who think Trump is a buffoon in part because he's a reality tv star are the same people who think people should inform themselves based on the views of celebrities, many of whom have zero formal education. If the Kardashians wanted to educate people on politics, what should our reaction be? That's how I view Lebron James trying to lecture me about politics.
