After studying the jawbone,the premolars are showing very light wear and staining and the secondary crest of the first molar has little wear at all which indicates this bucks age is 2.5 years. The lack of antler mass further backs up these findings. Either way, antlers and jawbones aren't edible and I bet this buck will taste just as good as any B&C Whitetail! Enjoy your Venison!

That deer is at least 4. Looking at the 4th tooth, there is moderate wear. There is a lot of dentine(the brown stuff) showing. It’s possible this deer is 5. I’m very sure he’s not 2 and pretty sure he’s not 3 unless his diet consisted of sand paper.
