I mainly watch sports
We have similar viewing habits, it sounds like, and I can tell you the Sony kills it on sports. In addition to football and baseball, I watch a ton of tennis, and my Sonys really shine in this arena - I mention tennis as it is obviously a sport subject to quite a bit of motion artifact.
I actually don't use the native "smart apps" for my streaming, I use a ROKU ultra and DirecTV for my sources. Haven't jumped on the Genie2 yet so no experience with DirecTV 4K content yet, but Ultra HD 4K on both VUDU and Netflix is superb on the Sony sets.
