I doubt it. I live in the boonies and love it. Aside from my internet sucking. The local phone company ran 1,300 feet of line to reach my house, and from a location that is already slow. So my DSL ranges from very slow to useless. It's reached the point that I'm probably going to throw in the towel on that and get Hughes satellite. It's literally my only other option, and yes, I know the problems. It's worth it for me to be able to live where I do. You are right that it's a terrible option for online gaming, fortunately it's not something that I do.
