False hope...this hire doesn’t make LSU better...I just don’t care tbh...I’ll continue to cheer and pray for wins but my emotional investment over any type hype has long been surrendered.

This is how I feel. I was in the wait and see camp after the win at Florida. (Was in the pitchfork camp after Troy). The bowl game told me everything I needed to about coach O and none of it is good. Follow it up with this dumbass Ensminger OC crap and really it feels like the early 1990's again. I'm not dropping LSU as my team, nor will I root against them, but if you think these steps are building any sort of program you have no sense of history. We're merely marking time while trying to maintain a basic record to say we're ok. Not great, not excellent, just ok.
We'll be damned lucky if we're just ok by the end of this experiment. They've taken all the hard work and insight others put into this program and squandered with shear laziness.

Its pretty simple.
Ironically, it's a byproduct of LSU Football having ungodly amounts of money. The guaranteed money they give to coaches even though they are not highly sought after means you live or die with them and they got you by the balls. Want to fire Coach O? Better fork out $9m or whatever. He will be swimming in money whether LSU is good or not. In fact getting fired and getting paid millions to do nothing sounds great. I wish my job offered such incentives.
Aleva has guaranteed money and gives CEO guaranteed money in order to have a scape goat. CEO now is going to try and make Ensminger a scapegoat if things don't turn out well.
