Look I get it, you don't understand the science and it's poorly compressed from Newsweek. These are all problems we're kicking down the road and eventually the road ends. It doesn't matter it it's a decade or a hundred decades from now. The work has to start somewhere to either avert it, contain it, or escape it.

In an "Inconvenient Truth" many scientist predicted that all of New York would be under water by the end of 2017. What happened with that?

A melted iceberg weighs the same as a frozen one, and that weight is already accounted for since icebergs float IN THE WATER.

Perhaps if they evaporated then the ocean floors would rise from the reduced weight of the water on them.

Floating ice isn't accounted for in these studies. They are only factoring in "Land Locked Ice". Land locked ice would add significantly less weight to the water than floating ice... Which you correctly pointed out would weigh the same.

If the water level rises it will increase hydrostatic pressure on the ocean floor. All the oil field guys should know Mud Weight (in this case water) x .052 x Depth (ft). But I dont see how and inch or two up or down could affect it enough to matter.

Well think about how large the ocean is... a 2 in difference would be MASSIVE in terms of overall volume.

Hydrostatic pressre would be the same in a straw as it would be in the ocean. Volume doesnt matter just depth.

if the floor subsides won't that offset the rising water level?

So the melting glacier is creating "more" water from its solid state...?

There's people out there that would swear by this shite...

This is the person trying to educate us...
