Thanks for the advice. It has been one kid at a time. Going to keep working at it. I just hope it is not too slow of a process.

Change the bed and bed location. Kennel the dog at night for awhile. Also it may make a difference whether the person approaching the bed is a boy or girl. And finally your kids need to feed the dog and take it outside, to establish a relationship as alpha/caretaker.

You’re right to have the dog go through obedience training. Teaching to dog obedience while on a leash, etc., will translate to obedience elsewhere.
