Yes dog laying on bed. They walk up call his name and squat down. They reached out to pet him the first night but not since. As soon as they squat down he growls. The dog is completely opposite with me and the wife. I really hope he settles as he becomes more comfortable in his new environment.

My parents adopted a much older Beagle a few weeks ago
My mom can’t go near her in her bed, she doesn’t have an issue with anyone else tho
Sounds like that is her safe space
Try having them sit near her to tell her good night, eventually moving closer until they can pet her
Also, maybe only one kid at a time
Hoping it works out, it is a lot of trial & error as they adjust to a new home
