Unforunately, I have no input on which camp you should choose (although I am sure both will be great).
Honestly, the best thing you can do is buy your son a goal and 4 or 5 soccer balls for the backyard for Christmas.

Side note: I am extremely jealous of Thibodaux now having its own league. We used to have to drive to Raceland to play every weekend when I was young.
And although I'm not the biggest fan of Rick Rosado personally, he really has done a fantastic job of growing the sport in Thibodaux.
I think we're finally starting to see the results of the League too with ED White making consistent deep runs in the playoffs.
