It's hard to see a Texas QB who is already committed to A&M changing schools because Fisher is now the coach. If anything, I think that would pretty much make him a lock for A&M unless Fisher wants another QB. Nonetheless, LSU should be mining Texas for QB's. I don't know if there is any other state that produces more quality QB's than Texas. Two of the 4 playoff teams are led by Texas QB's. Two of the teams in the conversation (Ohio St. and Auburn) both have Texas QB's.

I agree. I think Fisher coming on board would solidify the kids commit.

I think 99% would agree with you... I do.

There is the Fear of Change thing possibly coming into play. Some people see any change as negative. But in this case, no... I can't see Gunnell viewing it that way, not with Jimbo. It's not like they're bringing in Paul Johnson.

The only way I see this happening is if Sumlin had for some reason negative recruited FSU/Jimbo, and Orgeron followed up with more.

Over and over you hear kids commit to coaches not schools and if coach O has the better relationship along with Canada then Jimbo would have some work to do, plus you have no idea if jimbo was already recruiting a QB to FS and is planning to bring him to A&M with him.

You never know about these things. When a coach change happens it can throw things in a totally different direction and it's smart of O to take advantage of it.
