It really doesn't. Bama's signature wins are a narrow escape from Miss St and LSU. So if we aren't very good then Bama has no quality wins.

Ohio St beat Wisconsin, Mich St, Penn St and Michigan.

OSU had the bad loss to Iowa and lost to Oklahoma, a playoff team.

OSU has been lucky to get in the last two years. They got housed last year in the playoffs and embarrassed the committee, which apparently should have put PN St in. Always going to be controversy. If OSU wanted in, don't lose by 31 to anyone, particularly Iowa.

One was narrow, the other really wasn't close

Ohio State has no business being in the conversation. If that's your complaint, you don't have one.

OK. I've heard this and can't find it. If it's true and it's been buried.

Did Calvin Ridley run out of bounds and then catch a TD pass in the State game?

So if LSU had a single bad loss to Troy should they be a playoff team?

OSU did it to themselves. It doesn't matter that OU is a playoff team because another playoff team should not lose that badly. That game was much worse than the score.
