The Tennessee HC job is just not desirable. I understand the fans outrage over Schiano, but he was the best they could get. They had to get someone with baggage because no one else wants to touch it. We saw the same thing with the last two hires, guys way down the list, maybe not even on it at the beginning.

Despite a bad season, the UT FB program outlook is much better now than it was then. Pretty good roster, recruiting class and fertile in-state recruiting. They could likely make a pretty decent hire.
Several candidates who'd probably want the job would be better fits and hires than Schiano, even if he didn't have his pedo coverup baggage. Tee Martin, DJ Durkin, Mike Norvell, to name a few.
