I am being told that the Schiano deal is falling apart. My source also says that Currie has lost all support within the Athletic Department. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out as AD after this situation

Currie lost support, probably out

There is NO fricking way Currie will be our A.D. going forward.

This isn't going to be forgotten. This ends with him being gone.

The Tennessee HC job is just not desirable. I understand the fans outrage over Schiano, but he was the best they could get. They had to get someone with baggage because no one else wants to touch it. We saw the same thing with the last two hires, guys way down the list, maybe not even on it at the beginning.

Alleva’s handling of his coaching hire was worse, and he was able to survive it.

Almost feels like they got the word out there so they could gauge the reaction

Tennessee needs to follow the Nebraska blueprint. Fire your inept AD, and bring in a legit one who can hire a solid coach. You're a good program that deserves better.

So does this mean Austin Thomas won't be going to Tennessee, then?

It's almost like Currie cooked up this scheme on purpose to get fired. I can't wrap my mind around him actually believing this is a legitimately good thing for UT.

Now that UT is a toxic mess, could we possibly get Joey Freshwater 2.0 in Knoxville???

I actually think this is good for UT. They avoid a bad hire.
