You don't have to do this. A lot of known coaches (Franklin, Stoops, Meyer), have grabbed OCs from lower, power 5, group of 5, and FCS teams.

We can get one of those guys from 6-700k. If we go after the Gilbert guy I want, we might need to go for 8-900k,

And is this why the CEO rotating door model of “I’ll just hire the top coordinators and let them coach.” is not a recipe for sustained success.

Wait, I thought the whole argument for Orgeron was that we save money on him and pay top dollar for coordinators?
