Make sure to test drive each car before you make a decision. The 718 may be the faster car, but not necessarily the more enjoyable one. One is naturally aspirated, the other is turbocharged. The options on a new Porsche will also cost a pretty penny as mentioned by others already (you would be wise to look around at lightly used examples). The sound of the NA flat six is *far* better than that of the turbo four. You can't really go wrong with a 981 or 718 in the end, however. Both cars are very capable on the street and track. The engine note of the 718 would keep me from buying one, personally. In case you were wondering, I drive a base 987.2 and a 991.1 C2S (I've yet to drive the 718, but have heard it in person).
