better than Dale Brown

Dale Brown had some great qualities, but he was a piss poor bench coach. Too early to tell if Wade is better, but he could easily be better than Dale in putting LSU in the best position during game conditions without too much difficulty.

Dale Brown was not a great Xs and Os guy, but he wasn't a piss poor bench coach either. Johnny Jones and Trent Johnson were piss poor bench coaches. A piss poor bench coach gives a team no motivation or strategy from the bench. Brown had his faults, but he was constantly on guys, in their faces and getting them fired up throughout games to get them to play up to their potential. A significant part of being a good bench coach is constantly communicating with your players in the game and showing a major level of engagement to keep them on their toes.

Wade is an excellent hire and could very well be the best coach LSU has hired. We will see. LSU basketball is exciting again and will get very good very fast in my opinion.
